Colon cancer starts from pre-cancerous growths (polyps) in the colon
Our risk of colon cancer increases at the age of 50
The incidence has increased 2.1% every year since 1992
Studies have recently shown the increase in incidence in both men and women under the age of 50
Possibly aspirin 81mg daily (but there are risks involved in starting aspirin for prevention purposes, speak with your doctor first)
Colon cancer is usually Asymptomatic
Symptoms usually define the later stages of cancer
Symptoms can include:
Change in bowel habits (constipation or diarrhea)
